A Bespoke Glazed Understairs Wine Storage Solution

Challenge:

A new client had a custom glazed wine storage solution in mind. The space to fill was understairs at his beautiful, modern and stylish house.

His vision included two fridges, a modern design with ‘Squirrel Gray’ finishing, lighting and for it all be fronted with a bespoke glazed door.

A challenging project for a discerning customer that require glazing was to be a great challenge, needing great customer communication and to-the-millimetre detailed measurements.

Solution:

The team at Wine Racks UK worked closely with the client, including two site visits and many emails to help firm up (and agree) the specification and design of his final bespoke glazed understairs wine solution.

It was also our task to source every element including the wine fridges, which was challenging at time given the design space.

A full detailed cost breakdown was provided for all the chosen options;

• Wood type: pine,
• Finish: oak stain
• A chosen RAL colour
• LED lighting

Once the client was 100% happy with the proposed design and price, the deposit was paid and we set to work.

Outcome:

The lead time for a glazed understairs wine solution is about 7-8 weeks (depending on complexity, materials and our schedule).
