Oak wine rack plinths subtly complete your wine display or wine cellar with an elegant finish. These are positioned on the floor directly underneath the wine rack or cabinet, and have adjustable feet to provide a levelled surface. They also perfectly complement the racking by keeping the bottom row of wine or champagne bottles off the floor for better storage and preservation of your wines.

They can be produced to any design wine rack.

  • The cost for a 320mm deep plinth is £185.00 for the first metre and £128.00 per metre thereafter.

How much does an oak wine cellar cost?

Depending upon the design and the height, £2,000 to £3,000 per metre of wall space. The solid pine option is roughly 2/3 the cost.

Do we charge for designs and quotations for wine cellars?

No, we do not charge for designs and quotations. We usually initially ask for dimensions so that we can provide a design and quotation and then we can arrange a meeting to discuss the project further.

How long does solid oak last?

Solid oak wine racks will last a lifetime as the wood is very durable.

Are all wood or metal and wood wine racks better?

The all-wood wine racks visually create a more attractive design and there is no risk of damaging the labels on the wine bottles. The wood and metal wine racks do store more bottles per square metre.

What’s the difference between solid oak vs solid pine?

Visually the solid oak is more attractive than the pine and creates a more luxurious look. There is less difference between the darker colours than the lighter coloured stains. The pine worktops can mark more easily than the solid oak ones.

Are there any benefits with solid oak wine racks?

Our solid oak wine racks can make a very attractive way of storing and displaying wines especially when they are lit with LED lights. They are durable and long-lasting.

How do you care for solid oak?

The solid oak work surfaces can benefit from a light coat of Danish oil on a yearly basis.

Do Champagne bottles fit into standard wine rack holes?

Our stand wine racks will hold Moet style champagne bottles. We can make special wine racks for Bollinger, Dom Perignon and Krug bottles.

Can we build triangle wine racks for under stair spaces?

Yes, we can manufacture wine racks to fit under stairs and we make them follow the angle of the stairs. Measurements need to be carefully taken.

Do we have a showroom?

Our oak wine racking can be enhanced by adding a row or two of display bottles, allowing viewing of the wine bottles. The Display Bottles are equivalent to two holes high of Standard per one display high, This is something to bear in mind when Calculating your desired wine rack.
